Collection: Jacquelyn Bailey

A Louisiana native born and raised in a small rural area near Alexandria, Jacquelyn moved to Monroe in 1973 after finishing nursing school from LSUA.  She retired from nursing in 1987 after she and husband Mike bought a farm (Wind Lake Farm) in West Monroe, which became a profitable horse establishment. Jacquelyn who sometimes goes by Jackie started painting in the 80’s and doing ceramics primarily as her hobby. Only after retiring from a very busy horse show career that included several championships on a regional and national level, was she able to start painting fine art.  Self-taught, she navigates mostly toward abstract landscapes, which she attests to her love of country living. She does dabble in painting other styles and will be adding florals and colorful abstracts in the future.
