Collection: Jon Guice

Jon K. Guice is a local attorney who practices employment law with the law firm Hammonds, Sills, Adkins, Guice, Noah & Perkins. As a life-long outdoorsman the transition to a camera was not that far of a stretch, especially during the isolation of the COVID pandemic. It was during COVID that Jon found Black Bayou Lake National Wildlife Refuge, an under-appreciated jewel filled with wildlife and located just a couple miles north of Monroe. When not working or spending time with family, Jon can be found somewhere outside trying to see just how close he can get to the bird, deer, alligator, or other animals that call Louisiana home. For the same reasons, the forests, sunrises or sunsets in which they are silhouetted, are often in his viewfinder. Jon’s hope and desire are that his pictures will make you want to seek out that part of Louisiana which you have imagined but never explored. When you do, share what you see with others and leave it better than you found it. His granddaughter also paints stunning watercolor card which have been turned into card sets for the holiday seasons.
