Collection: Clay Cross Pottery
Sheila has loved art as long as she can remember. In high school, she took art classes and was exposed to clay, both hand building and wheel throwing. She found her medium! She continued her art education, attending NLU (now ULM) and graduating with a BS in advertising design in 1987. She returned to ULM 10 years later and graduated with a nursing degree, but that’s a story for another day! Her pottery is completely handmade - she hand builds or throws on the wheel and she mixes all her own glazes. She enjoys creating functional work that can be used in everyday life, and also strives to capture the organic beauty of God’s creation. I thank God for giving me the gift of creativity and the love of Art!
