Ever since I was very young I held a camera and pencil in each hand. As a rural arts advocate I create art opportunities for children and adults in my home town of Lake Providence, La. I hold a Bachelor of Fine Arts and am a certified Art Educator. While primarily a printmaker I am also drawn to the power of line and collage. The current body of work is a result of sorting out all the messy details of trauma related to breast cancer. When our bodies fail us there are losses beyond words. In the tactile medium of printmaking I found voice and a powerful peace in sharing my truth.
